The wobbly salad bowl is a wobbly cylinder turned from wood. Where as for the cutlery the tube it was made of was straight and the outline of the parts wobbled, here the whole shape is in motion. An object of this diameter has to be made from laminated wood, thus why not use it as a design opportunity. Hence the outside layers are made from a different wood then the inside. This produces a line to read the waving outside curve and highlights the section of the piece. The two bowls are made from Walnut and Ash as an inverse of each other and are then oiled to enhance the beauty of the wood.
