A Mega-Block that enables 500people to work and live together in one Building.
Every inhabitant is counted-for with 2 "pixel" (units). The projects is developing out of an endless "screen" of units where it is possible to connected all neighboring units horizontally, vertically and diagonal. For this and for installations a buffer-zone is introduced. It can either hold a stair or on its other end a kitchen- or bathroom-furniture.
This structure is folded to form a meandering court to its inside and bays to its outside.
Leading a street through the structure and introducing the car makes it necessary to shift it to slope 5degrees (= a 40cm jump every unit).
The connection between the street and the living unit is done by patios. These are double story-high spaces that intermediate between the private working or living quarters and the public street. The car becomes the name-tag of the user. You live in the patio with the red Porsche. How many units you got and how they are connected no-one can read from the outside. In this way it is possible to connect a "pixel-cluster" to two streets that are 4 stories apart.
There are shortcuts in the spiraling street system and additional squares and gardens.
In the lower part of the building common functions like shopping, a cafeteria, a swimming-pool a gym are located and invite users from the city.
