Tree Table
The tree tables are based on a pentagon with all sides having the same lenght. Four of them will ad up to a hexagon, so the pentagon is symmetrical but not all even. Therefore one can set up several constellations that sometimes fit and other times leave a strange gap . On the five sides there are only 4 legs, which unfortunately enlarges your chance to hit a leg They branch out towards the top and some of them in frontview are standing under an angle. The idea was that eventual it would look like a forest of pine trees, but to change your view to the right perspective you would have to sit under the tables, so maybe we should change our habbits of using tables and view at them from a frog’s perspectve. The tables were built by Roel Huisman and have been placed in a youth-club in amsterdam, Bijmermeer.*

To make a photo-shoot of the tables I wanted to give them some company. So I started to make some cardboard animals. Sarah Moeller helped me on some birds and together with Roel we started of to the park to get them photographed.
